Attitude of gratitude
As we go through our week, let us make time for gratitude. Gratitude is an action. We need to be actively grateful. Gratitude is not something that naturally occurs. We need to remind ourselves daily of the people, places, and things for which we are grateful. And challenge ourselves to speak that gratitude out loud.
An attitude of gratitude allows us to have more compassion for others and more importantly, more compassion for ourselves. An addict and alcoholic can be their own worst critic. So any chance we get to show ourselves compassion is an opportunity we need to seize. The shift from focusing on what we may lack to what we are grateful for will have a profound effect on our lives. So i ask you, what are you grateful for today?
